When I sent out notifications for bookstores who might be interested in carrying my book, Gatsby wrote back and asked if I’d be interested in having an event there. I said I’d be in town doing research in May, and gave them the dates I was free. One that they also had free was the 21st. So how great was that?<\/p>\n

It was super hot, and now I wish I’d taken more photos, but I was busy psyching myself up for my first non-Alberta reading, in front of a bunch of strangers. I knew my cousin Frank and his wife Janine would be there, and I was also expecting my cousin Linda, but other than that, I needed to be good! (Especially since my event at Book Soup was the next night. This was my test run).<\/p>\n

Afterwards, cousins Linda and Frank, Frank’s wife Janine, and Linda’s friend Peggy and I all went to Nomad for Chinese food. Here is a great pic Peggy snapped of us.<\/p>\n
